How to Assemble

  1. Start by standing one small end piece vertically, then insert the slot of the top support bar into the top slot of the end piece.
  2. Repeat the above step to insert the slot of the top support bar into the top slot of the second end piece.
  3. Slide the slots of one large side piece into the angled slots on the end pieces.
  4. Repeat the above step for the other side.
  5. Place the cook surface on top of the assembled grill frame, making sure to align the small slots at both ends with the alignment tabs on top of the end pieces.

Season Before First Use

  1. Rub a light layer of vegetable oil onto the cooking surface with a paper towel.
  2. In a well ventilated outdoor fire-safe area, start a wood or coal fire in the grill. Allow the fire to burn until the oil begins to evaporate from the cooking surface.
  3. Allow the grill to cool, then repeat steps 1 and 2 above to thoroughly season the cooking surface.
  4. You’re ready to cook!
  5. After each use and for best results, please do not clean the cooking surface with soap. Instead, simply wipe the cooking surface with a dry cloth or paper towel after each use. If needed, you may rinse the grill with clean water, then wipe dry.
Important: Cleaning the cooking surface with soap will diminish the seasoning layer you just created in steps 1 through 3. If you clean the surface with soap, please repeat steps 1 through 3 in order to fully re-season the cooking surface before cooking with your grill again.

How to Disassemble

  1. Before disassembly, be sure to allow the grill and any remaining wood or coals to completely cool, then discard the cooled ashes.
  2. Reverse the assembly steps by first removing the top, then the large sides, then the top brace and side pieces.
  3. Conveniently store your Flash Works Flat Grill almost anywhere!
